Back in 2015, Joe Hoagland and I launched RookiePreacher.com – a website dedicated to helping you preach and lead better.
And since then, it’s proven to be a blessing to so many people. We’ve spent countless hours building this website and striving to make it a resource for pastors of all experience levels.
But recently, I have felt the need for a new name–a name that I feel will better represent the work I’m still striving to do.
For a lot of people, they’ve benefitted from this website and they would tell me, “even though I’m not a rookie preacher… I’ve really gotten a lot out of the site.”
Which is great to hear, but the branding Rookie Preacher was never meant to imply that this site was only for people just starting out. But that we all must have the mindset of a rookie which is one of humility and a hunger to grow.
Nonetheless, I believe it is time for a new home for the content I’m creating and the work I’m still striving to do.
That new home is PreachandLead.com. It already has some new articles on it and if you’re subscribed to my emails, you already know that.
How will PreachandLead.com be different?
In many ways, it will be very similar to what we have built with RookiePreacher.com. But there will be some differences:
- I plan on spending more time on leadership issues that relate to us pastors.
- All the premium resources I create moving forward will all be in one place instead of multiple domains and platforms.
- I am offering sermon review coaching through preachandlead.com.
But beyond those few differences, I’ll still be creating helpful and practical content on the topic of preaching.
All in all, I’m absolutely pumped to give fresh attention and energy to this work.
What will happen to RookiePreacher.com now?
My current plan is to keep RookiePreacher.com as it is.
Because it’s been around since 2015, it gets plenty of traffic each day through search engines like Google. In other words, plenty of pastors are benefitting from the archives of articles on this site so I want to keep it all available here rather than moving all of my content to the new site.
Could that plan change in the future? It could but that is the plan now.
The YouTube channel, Facebook Page, and Twitter account will be rebranded to Preach and Lead in due time.
What now?
Well, first, let me just say that if you’re reading this, thank you.
If you’ve benefitted from any of my work here, I believe you’ll be able to continue to benefit from the work I’m now doing under the banner of PreachandLead.com.
So, here’s the path forward, if you so choose to take it:
- Bookmark preachandlead.com
- If you use RSS feeds, then add https://preachandlead.com/blog.rss to your feed reader.
- Subscribe to the email list (if you’re not already subscribed)
- Take advantage of the archives on RookiePreacher.com. We’ve got hundreds of valuable, practical pieces of content on this site.
